"I AM INSPIRED" Summer Camp 2011
for ART::MIND::COMMUNITY
TIPS On Art is proud to produce this year’s multi-disciplinary art summer day camp for kids and facilitate their contribution to the creative community of Austin.
Activities will include collage, drawing, sculpting, painting, photography, jewelry making, paper making, fashion patterning, music and stories- with a focus on applying Sustainable Practices and Recycled Material.
Each week, the outcome of a group art project will be combined for a comprehensive piece to be exhibited at IIDA’s Annual Evolution Community Fundraiser partnering this year with the nationwide ZeroLandfill™. Project Zero- Landfill is a grassroots upcycling or reuse program started in Cleveland, Ohio in 2006. The Zero- Landfill Austin project team assists the architectural and interior design community in identifying, diverting from local landfills, and re-purposing back into the community thousands of pounds of specification samples that hold value for other audiences, like artists and educators.
Kids can work towards Girl Scout badge work, Boy Scout Art Activity Pins, and Campfire Creative Emblems!
